Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and whether you hire or sell.
• Sign-in with Google, Facebook or Apple: we receive your name, email address and a stable account ID from that provider. We never receive your password for those services. Apple may give us a private relay email instead of your real address.
• Profile details you choose to add: photo, headline, bio, skills, experience, portfolio, location and contact details such as phone or Telegram.
• Marketplace activity: services, projects, proposals, orders, deliveries, messages, files you upload, reviews and saved services.
• Payments: payment status and amounts. Card and bank details are entered with our payment providers (Stripe, ABA PayWay) and are never stored by us.
• Technical data: cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language, and basic usage statistics (pages viewed) collected without advertising trackers.

How we use it

• To create and secure your account and sign you in.
• To run the marketplace: show profiles and services, process orders, hold payments in escrow, release payouts and handle disputes.
• To send you messages about your account, orders and payments.
• To prevent fraud, abuse and fake reviews, and to meet legal obligations.
• To improve the platform, including search. When you use AI search, your search text is sent to our AI provider to understand it.

What others can see

• Freelancer profiles, services, portfolios and reviews are public. Your email address and password are never shown publicly.
• Messages and order details are visible only to the people in that conversation or order, and to our staff when needed to resolve a dispute or investigate abuse.

Who we share it with

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We share it only with service providers that run the platform for us: hosting and storage (Vercel, Neon), payments (Stripe, ABA PayWay), email delivery, and AI search. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
• We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we remove your sign-in details and linked Google, Facebook or Apple accounts. Orders, payments, reviews and messages are kept as a record for the other party and for accounting, dispute and legal purposes.

Your choices

• You can edit your profile at any time, and delete your account from Settings.
• You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
• To stop a Google, Facebook or Apple sign-in from working, delete your account, or remove KhmerFreelance from that provider's connected-apps settings.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.

Children

KhmerFreelance is not intended for anyone under 18.
