What KhmerFreelance is

KhmerFreelance is a marketplace that connects clients with independent freelancers. Freelancers are not our employees or agents. The contract for each piece of work is between the client and the freelancer; we provide the platform, payment protection and dispute support.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and give accurate information. You may sign up with email or with Google, Facebook or Apple.
• Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person or business per account.

Orders and escrow payments

• When a client orders a service or accepts a proposal, the client pays up front. We hold the money (escrow) until the work is approved.
• The freelancer delivers through the order page. The client may request revisions up to the number included in the package, then approves the delivery.
• When the client approves, the payment is released to the freelancer, minus the platform commission.
• If an order is cancelled before completion, refunds follow the order's status and our dispute decision.

Fees

• Freelancers pay a commission on completed orders. The standard rate is 10% of the order price. During the launch promotion, listing is free and the commission is 0%; the end date is shown on the site.
• Payment providers may charge their own fees. Any change to our fees will be announced on the site before it applies to new orders.

Keep payments on the platform

To stay protected by escrow and dispute support, clients and freelancers must not arrange to pay outside KhmerFreelance for work found here. We may suspend accounts that do.

Disputes

If a client and freelancer cannot agree, either can ask us to step in. We review the order, messages and deliveries and decide how the held payment is released or refunded. Keeping communication on the platform helps us decide fairly.

Content and reviews

• You keep ownership of what you post, and give us permission to display it on the platform to run and promote the marketplace.
• Unless the client and freelancer agree otherwise in writing, the rights to delivered work pass to the client once the order is completed and paid.
• Reviews must be honest and only come from completed orders. Do not post content that is illegal, misleading, infringing, hateful or that shares someone else's private information.

Prohibited use

No fraud, fake accounts, fake reviews, spam, harassment, attempts to break or overload the platform, or services that are illegal in Cambodia.

Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account from Settings once you have no active orders. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Liability

We work to keep the platform available and safe, but it is provided as is. Freelancers are responsible for their work and clients for their briefs and payments. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees we earned from the order concerned.

Law, changes and contact

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
• We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version on this page. Continuing to use the platform means you accept the update.
